Our Staff

Agnes Vianzon

Founder and Director

Hello!  I'm Agnes (she/they), I am a first-generation, queer filipinx, who grew up in the San Fernando and Simi Valleys of Southern California. I currently call Payahuunadu (Bishop) home. My immigrant parents took us on endless National Park roadtrips and that influence eventually led to an environmental studies degree from UCSB. I worked as an environmental planner for a few years in Santa Barbara County before joining the CCC AmeriCorps Backcountry Trails Program. Those 5 months living and working in Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Park launched the next chapter of my journey, 10 years of seasonal work - snowboarding and bartending on Mammoth Mountain in the winter and leading young people working trails each summer.  Over those years, I led teams for the NPS, CCC, and Mammoth Mountain. My past experiences became the driving force behind my ambition to start ESCC and expand access and inclusion in the conservation world.

Honored to celebrate ESCC’s 10th Year! 2016-2026!!
